Master Plan Ministries was founded by Russ and Linda Akins in 1985. MPM is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to preparing others to reach and influence the world for Christ. In the past 24 years hundreds of college students have put their trust in Christ and many more have been individually discipled, trained and equipped to make disciples of all nations. Students who have left our ministry have gone on to pastor churches and lead ministries worldwide in both open and politically closed countries. These former students have discipled a Superbowl winning coach, a Heisman trophy winner, politicians and many other people of influence and they have reached many others, including multiple movie stars, with the gospel and are currently working in a variety of ministries worldwide. We have recently been given a Ministry Headquarters and Great Commission Training Center facility that will benefit this ministry, and the capacity to multiply to many other campuses, dramatically. It is easily accessible, year round, and located only 16 miles North East of Durango. Watch a short project video here.
The property encompasses 17 acres of beautiful mountain land, has a trout pond, a creek and five large buildings. It is located near a beautiful lake and is bordered by a huge wilderness area with hundreds of thousands of acres of forest.
God just blew all of our minds, providing nearly $1,000,000 in a matter of a few months, making the Great Commission Training Center a reality. We are currently in the construction and repair phase and trusting God for the vision He has given us. We believe this will be a headquarters for multiplying spiritual multipliers to the ends of the earth.
